This device is a straightforward and inexpensive push button to signal an emergency. It uses the smarts of modern day phone systems to alert any number of people on duty of the duress situation. Pressing the push button causes the main unit connected to a telephone line or PABX extension to go off hook for thirty seconds. The PABX is programmed to "Hotline" a pilot number for a ring group that calls a number of designated extensions with the appropriate CLI message eg. "Emergency in Zone 7".
