Design 2000 in conjunction with Pacific Test Equipment has developed, manufactured and delivered 600 sets of PoleVolts and PadVolts to Integral Energy, newly named as Endeavour Energy. PoleVolt is a linesman's test set for detecting the presence or absence of voltages on overhead power lines or ground mounted switch gear.

Ross Kells from our Engineering Services department said "PoleVolt is unique with its inbuilt self-test mechanism for failsafe operation which ensures that a false reading will never be obtained. Pressing the Self-Test button sends escalating voltages via the integrated wire loop from one hook/probe to the other performing a complete continuity check prior to using it on real power lines."

The PoleVolt hook version simply hooks onto overhead power lines and the PadVolt probe version makes contact with pad mounted transformer connections.
